The first intake for the 1-year Diploma in Sport Management will be in August 2025, and then intakes will commence in February each year from 2026.
The first step is to register your interest, and a team member will be in touch. Applications will open in early 2025 for the August intake.
The Diploma in Sport Management is only available on a full-time basis, and study cannot be deferred.
The first intake of the diploma will run from August 2025 to June 2026. From 2026 the diploma will be offered from February to November.
Your weekly schedule will include 2 days of face-to-face learning each week at the Adelaide Football Club, as well as an additional day at UniSA City West Campus in the first semester.
Upon successful completed of the diploma, you will receive a Diploma in Sport Management from Adelaide University. The University of South Australia will amalgamate with the University of Adelaide to form the new Adelaide University from January 2026. More information about Adelaide University is available here
Yes, you can use this qualification as guaranteed entry into the Bachelor of Business majoring in Sport Management at the new Adelaide University. You will receive 48 units of credit (which is equivalent to one-year of full-time study), which allows you to enter the Bachelor degree at second-year.
The University of South Australia will amalgamate with the University of Adelaide to form the new Adelaide University from January 2026. More information about Adelaide University is available here.
You will also be able to use the Diploma qualification to apply for other Business degrees at Adelaide University and you could receive up to 48 units of credit for courses completed as part of the Diploma.
There are a range of entry options into the Diploma of Sport Management including:

Recent secondary education: Completed a secondary education qualification equivalent to SACE, such as an interstate year 12 or international qualification, OR

Higher education study: Successfully completed equivalent to a minimum of half a year of full-time study over a higher education program at a recognised higher education provider, OR
-
Vocational Education and Training (VET): Complete an award from a registered training organisation at Certificate 3 or above, OR
-
Work and life experience (for domestic students only) or Completed a 12-month UniSA Foundations Studies program or equivalent, or Qualify for Special Entry.
If there are more eligible applicants than available places, admission will be competitive with rankings based on the entry criteria.Certain eligibility conditions apply. For more information refer to Appendix 4 of the University's Selection and Entry policy.
If you are an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person and do not meet the standard entry requirements, please complete your application and then apply for the Aboriginal Admission Access Scheme through UniSA.

You may be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning depending on the courses you have already successfully completed at an equivalent level of study. Please see information about Study Credit on the UniSA website.
