KUWARNA
FIRST NATIONS Scholarship

The Kuwarna First Nations Scholarship is founded from our community mission of using the power of sport to create a brighter future for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people. 

​

​The Adelaide Football Club is offering to cover the full cost of the Diploma in Sport Management for one eligible student, including the $22,000 course fees and the additional student services fees.

​

Applications for the scholarship can be made after you submit an application to the Diploma in Sport Management here.

Who can apply:

The scholarship is open to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students who enrol into the 1-year, full-time Diploma in Sport Management taught at the Adelaide Crows Institute of Sports Business in partnership with Adelaide University.


Applicants must identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person and be accepted as such in the community the student belongs to, lives in, or has lived in.


When to apply:

Students will first need to apply for the Diploma in Sport Management, meeting all requirements for that application process, before applying for the Kuwarna First Nations Scholarship. The deadline to apply for this scholarship is 5PM, 1 December 2026.


Before you apply for the scholarship:

Please read through the entire application form before you start, and draft your written statement in another document so you can cut and paste it into the form. Please ensure you apply using the same contact details as you have used to apply for the Diploma in Sport Management.

Please provide a written statement (maximum 750 words) detailing:

  • Your family heritage and connection to community.

  • Your community involvement and/or extracurricular activities/interests you have been involved in.

  • How this scholarship supports your future aspirations to work in sport management.
